about
Ever stumbled around at night and found yourself in a part of town you didn’t know existed? Taken aback by a stench so foul, knee deep in the blood of deceased junkies, while a busted-up neon sign flickers overhead? Welcome to Blood City. This is the kind of street that Night Tigers roam every goddamn night.
Night Tigers consists of Knight Tiger (vocals and electric guitar), Wyld Tiger (back up vocals and electric bass) and Tall Tiger (drums) and they’ve known each other since childbirth. They grew up with a switchblade in their hands, while living in different dilapidated strip clubs.
In their youth the three boys were the founding members of one of the more prominent satanic motorcycle gangs in Scandinavia, which due to legal reasons must remain unnamed here. The gang quickly grew to a large number of members but after a string of shady backroom deals went wrong and the feds bowed out of an agreement, the gang disbanded and the number of members were once again whittled down to the founding three: Knight, Wyld and Tall.
After doing hard time in a maximum security penitentiary the three companions decided to turn their attention to music. Their influences are all reflected in their songs, having been raised on the musical stylings of Phil Spector, The Platters, Journey and Bathory, filtered through a boombox with broken speakers. Finding subjects to write about are not an issue for these three partners in crime, having lead lives most people wouldn’t dare to dream about. Make no mistake, every lyric, every line is autobiographical. Every chord tells a harsh truth, wrapped up in a pretty melody.
So, if you’re up for it and think you’ve got the guts: kickstart that motorcycle, make sure you got your switchblade tucked in and join them on an after hours- ride through a neon lit, rainsoaked city, populated with a wretched hive of scum and villainy, accompanied by melodies you won’t be able to get out of your head…
